Moves to clear more OTC derivatives through exchanges and clearing houses have been much discussed at the Futures Industry Association conference in Chicago. Craig Donohue, CEO of CME Group, argues that clearing houses rather than regulators should decide what they are able to clear. He also explains when CDS clearing will come and the opportunity offered by clearing interest rate swaps.
