Diane Coyle is professor of public policy at the University of Cambridge and a research theme lead at The Productivity Institute. She was previously a professor of economics at the University of Manchester, has served on the BBC Trust, the Competition Commission and the Migration Advisory Committee, and is the author of a number of books on economics including GDP: A Brief but Affectionate History.
