If Kasai Allstars had a British equivalent – a crowded supergroup of folk musicians reinterpreting traditional songs with a mixture of modern and traditional instruments – it would be none other than Bellowhead, whose first album for a major label continues their horn-heavy danceable style.
“Jack Lintel” has a pulsing minimalist folk groove, but “I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight” jerks rather than staggering.
