JSE intends to list pan-African stocks

The Johannesburg Stock Exchange is in talks with bourses in at least five African countries about forming a pan-African board that would list stocks in some of the continent’s biggest companies.

The plan, which the JSE intends to complete this year, attempts to capitalise on intensifying western investor interest in Africa by making it easier to access stocks in those companies by a listing on the JSE.
