Mr Angry loses control in Bangkok poll

Across Bangkok, the face of Chuwit Kamolvisit, former massage parlour king and self-confessed briber of police, scowls out from posters at the residents he hopes will vote for him in this weekend’s elections for governor of Thailand’s capital.

He has characterised himself as Mr Angry, from the children’s book series, infuriated by the corruption in the city.
