CBI backs new UK green taxes

Senior business leaders have called for new taxes and regulations to tackle climate change, pledging their support for radical measures to stimulate the development of a low-carbon economy.

In a report published on Monday, the CBI climate change taskforce says the government’s goal of a 60 per cent cut in emissions by 2050 is challenging but can be achieved at a manageable cost.
