Entrepreneur of the year, Rubens Menin from Brazil.
We're here at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Monaco. And the winner has just been announced. Rubens Menin from Brazil. Congratulations, Rubens.
Thank you very much.
How do you feel right now?
Ooh, no words to explain what I'm feeling. It's a very wonderful moment. Very good for us, for myself, my family, for my country, for my company, for everybody in Brazil I think, we need that. Very good for them.
And what made you get involved in social housing in the first place?
I didn't came for this award to do anything. You have to, I believe a lot in the power of change in the world. You have to change the world. We have a lot of good things, but also we have bad things. But the power of energy to be necessary to change the world. That my main attribute. I'm 60 years old. And now my plan is to change the world, of course, for better.
And what's next for the company? What's ahead?
Our company works in Brazil. We are expanding for the United States. But believe so much that you have to have global company. Every company that wants to change, you always have to be global. And to have a platform in the United States that you are improving to be a global company to make affordable homes for everybody in the world is the most important thing for every family to have a home.
