S&P defends rating agencies post credit crisis

Gillian Tett, FT US managing editor, speaks with S&P president Deven Sharma on how ratings agencies stay relevant in the new Dodd-Frank regulatory landscape. Mr Sharma says he agrees with rules that remove mandates on the use of rating agencies, but he argues that by constantly persuading investors of the value of ratings, S&P can thrive in the new environment.
