Are the US and China’s interests aligning?

Zbigniew Brzezinski, former national security advisor to President Jimmy Carter, helped establish normal diplomatic ties between the US and China in 1979. Mr Brzezinski tells the FT’s Daniel Dombey that as China becomes more powerful, the country increasingly faces similar threats as the US; chiefly international instability.
