Dec 18: Learning to read in Laos

Tavan is attending Naxam Complete Primary School. Naxam village is in Xayabouly Province in central Laos. The people of Naxam are farmers, they grow rice corn and vegetables and their standard of living is very low. A Financial Times film crew went to visit Tavan and this is her story in her own words.
