MARK GALLOGLY on Sen Barack Obama and his economic policies

Part 1, August 27 2008: Mark Gallogly, co-founder of Centerbridge Partners, talks to Chrystia Freeland, US Managing Editor, about his reasons for supporting Barack Obama for President despite the fact that Gallogly would have to pay higher taxes if Obama is elected and his legislation passed. Gallogly considers Obama a champion of trade with an international perspective and believes the Democrats are the fiscally responsible party. Gallogly also discusses the income gap in the US and how he sees it as a factor in whether American consumers can build wealth and sustain the economy through the downturn. Next week, Eric Schmidt of Google. If you have a question for Eric Schmidt, please email it to the link below.
