Bin Laden: Obama reaps political capital

President Barack Obama's decision to authorise a risky but successful attack on the compound housing Osama bin Laden has boosted his image in the United States, says the FT's Richard MacGregor in Washington, while Abigail Fielding-Smith in Amman, Jordan, says the news has been greeted by indifference as people focus on more local issues.
