No let up in crackdown on Tibet

The Dalai Lama's 78th birthday was celebrated around the world on July 6, but in China, reports indicate that authorities reacted by shooting two monks in the head and injuring others. The violent reaction appears to quash suggestions that authorities are seeking to relax their attitude towards the restive region of Tibet.
