This is the floor of the legislative council, where 100s maybe thousands of protesters broke in and occupied the heart of the lawmaking establishment here in Hong Kong - one of the world's top financial symbols. Behind me you can see the emblem, the Bauhinia flower emblem of Hong Kong, which has been totally defaced.
And all throughout this building, we've been up to the top floor and all the way through it, protesters rampaged through. They've damaged the building. They've ripped down the posters. They smashed things. And on many of the walls, they've written, they've stencilled the slogan: Carrie Lam step down.
