Aug 8: RBS losses mitigated by revaluations
Royal Bank of Scotland has posted a loss of Â£691m in the first half of this year after writedowns of Â£5.9bn. Yet the losses aren't as bad as feared by analysts after the bank managed to reduce the value of its debt. Peter Thal Larsen explains the numbers and what he thinks the future holds for RBS.
