Feb 16: Bank intervenes over credit insurance

Only about £12m has been lent to companies under the UK government's £1bn loan guarantee scheme for small business. Concerns about the withdrawal of credit insurance, which covers suppliers against the risks of purchasers not paying their bills, are so serious the Bank of England has intervened. Kiran Stacey, companies reporter, explains to Rob Minto how the Bank hopes to resolve the crisis.
