Europe 18 months behind US regulators

The implementation of financial regulation in Europe is 18 months behind the United States, according to Jeff Gooch of MarkitSERV. The chief executive of the post trade processing company explains to Jeremy Grant, FT Trading Room editor, the likely timetable for the Dodd-Frank reforms in the US and in Europe under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (Emir) and Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (Mifid).
