Dec 19: Bank voted unanimously for cut - minutes

The Bank of England's economists who set interest rates voted 9-0 in favour of a rate cut at the last meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee. It's taken many in the money markets by surprise - a Reuters poll suggested they were expecting a closer vote of 6-3 in favour. The vote combined with doveish comments in the minutes suggest another rate cut is possible, reports Delphine Strauss.
