Still the powerhouse of Europe?

Mar 11. Germany's economy seems to be as solid as ever as exports continue apace, unemployment falls and domestic demand picks up. But can the largest economy in Europe maintain this pace whilst the US slows (perhaps even shrinks), the euro climbs to record highs against the dollar and the ECB keeps interest rates where they are despite cuts from other central banks. Ralph Atkins, Frankfurt bureau chief, finds out what's going on in the real economy and speaks to the Bundesbank for their take on these challenging times.
