We've decided to seek out the most extravagant hotel suites in London. We've come to The Langham, just off Regent Street, to take a sneak peek inside the Sterling Suite - yours for £24,000 per night.
Arriving at the Sterling Suite, you will be welcomed by your own team of butlers, who will have your favourite drink, snack, or even a banquet waiting for you.
Show me around.
Please, allow me.
Thank you.
So tell me, it's 450 square metres. How many bedrooms do I get?
With the Sterling Suite you will have six bedroom suites. You know, one of the features of the suite is the drawing room in here and the sitting area.
And the furniture?
Every single furniture, piece of furniture in here, is especially custom made for the Sterling Suite.
There is a piano in the drawing room. But don't worry if you're not musically inclined. You can just call up the in-house pianist.
And of course, there is also a cinema room with full surround sound.
When was it created?
The Sterling Suite opened its door in July 2015, just by the celebration of the 150th anniversary for The Langham London.
When the hotel opened in 1865, it billed itself as Europe's first grand hotel. The guests since then have included everyone from Oscar Wilde to Haile Selassie.
So what kind of people book the Sterling Suite these days?
Foreign royalty - it's been home for people coming - majority, let's say, from North America, from Asia, from Middle East.
So what's the longest period anyone has stayed? And how much luggage did they bring?
We've had people stay over three months.
You're joking.
Three months.
If you come for a very long stay like that - three months - I guess you bring a lot of luggage with you.
Easily over 40 pieces.
And then this is the walk-in wardrobe where you store it all. Marble shelves there to put your suitcases on.
The master bedroom comes with a lavish marble bathroom complete with two TVs. So one TV in the mirror for while you are brushing your teeth, and another for when you're in the bath, and a waterproof remote control. Very nice.
In fact, it is not only a shower, it is a steam room.
Ah, very nice.
And a sitting room featuring hand-painted chinoiserie panels edged with gold leaf.
Tell me, where is the minibar hiding?
Oh, the minibar is actually hidden. But it is a complimentary minibar and could be stocked for your preferences.
Great. So anything I want for free from there - that's very nice. Tell me more about the dining.
So this is the dining room. How many people can we sit here.
We can cater up to 10 people in here. The whole food and beverage operation at The Langham is overseen by Chef Michel Roux.
And what about breakfast, is that included?
It's certainly included.
Well I'll have mine in bed at 8:30 tomorrow, please.
£24,000 might sound outrageous. But this suite is going to be occupied for more than five months this year.
Is it worth it? You decide.
