Covered bonds, called pfandbrief in Germany, the market's birthplace, are supposed to be a dull, ultra safe investment. But more Ferrari-like investors - credit funds - are getting interested. Jennifer Hughes, senior markets correspondent, examines whether they have spotted a savvy investment.
