I think this is a great country, and that we are more than capable of rising to the challenge. And it's only by preparing and raising awareness of what no-deal might entail that we will ensure that we do not resort to that option.
I will ensure that we are out of the Common Agricultural Policy, out of the Common Fisheries Policy, out of the court, out of the Commission, out of the parliament, out of the EU, and once more taking back control of our money, our borders, and our laws.
Leaving the EU on the 31st of October is for me a hard red line.
Because no deal is not a credible threat. Nobody can get no-deal deal through parliament because we, including me, will stop no-deal going through parliament.
I've got a credible, honest plan for delivering Brexit so that we can leave by the end of October this year. And I've got the background, the ideas, and the positive vision for the future that will help bring this country together and keep Jeremy Corbyn far away from 10 Downing Street.
Because the lessons of the European and Peterborough elections are clear. If we fight an election before delivering Brexit, we will be annihilated.
It's about the future, and I'm an optimist about the future. I'm excited about what it holds. I believe the world is getting better, and I'm an optimist because I believe in people. I love people.
So to deliver Brexit, I'd put together a cabinet reflecting the different views we have across our party. But I'd insist that this team is united and its resolve to deliver Brexit by the end of October.
But it's only credible if you have strained every sinew to get a deal, which is why I'm afraid the bit where I perhaps will make myself not popular with my colleagues is when I say that it is not going to be possible to leave on the 31st of October. I would love to.
