Saab and Swedish government officials travelled to Detroit on Monday for talks with General Motors over last-minute options to save the brand from closure. This came as Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co (BAIC), part of a bidding group for Saab that collapsed last week, held talks at the carmaker's Trollhattan headquarters about transferring some of its old-model production equipment to China.
