July 30: Comcast gains on its telecoms rivals

Paul Taylor says Comcast enjoyed a strong quarter with healthy profits, but more importantly, the telecommunications group made inroads with its internet telephony services against traditional US telephony groups AT&T and Verizon Communications, which are seeing drops in their fixed-line customer bases
