Jacek Rostowski, Poland's finance minister, talks to Jan Cienski about how central Europe and central Europe performed during the financial crisis. Mr Rostowski says new EU member states of central and eastern Europe came through crisis without 'fundamental weaknesses' and why Poland was right to ignore advice given by international financial institutions to undertake stimulus programes and increase budget deficits.
