Sep 10: No news on Lehman divestments disappoints

Lehman Brothers has yet to find buyers for its real estate or asset management businesses the bank revealed on Thursday. The news emerged as the bank reported a loss of $3.93bn for the third quarter alone, hit by massive writedowns. Francesco Guerrera, US finance editor, says the lack of firm offers will disappoint those who have been hoping for a sale to inject capital in the bank.
