Nov 6: SIR DAVID TWEEDIE on fair value accounting

In the first part of this week's View from the Top, Sir David Tweedie, head of the International Accounting Standards Board, insists that fair value accounting is not to blame for the current crisis. Sir David tells Richard Milne, the FT's European Business Correspondent, that the recent easing of the rules was not a cave in to political pressure but an example of why we need one global set of accounting standards.
