Nov 6: Sir David Tweedie on accounting standards

In the second part of this week's View from the Top, Sir David Tweedie, head of the International Accounting Standards Board, tells Richard Milne, the FT's European Business Correspondent, that a single global standard is close. Sir David says the IASB went from a think tank to a global organisation and its standards are now close to being used around the world. The US standard is inferior, Sir David argues, and America should also adopt the IASB model.
