Maxine Peake stars in this new play by Zinnie Harris that explores how thin the veneer of civilisation is and how easily those of us in the developed world assume that we are entitled to an easy life. Peake, who made waves last summer when she took on the lead in Hamlet, plays one of two sisters who find themselves unexpectedly on an epic journey through Europe that challenges their principles. Artistic director Vicky Featherstone directs this dark thriller. On February 25 the theatre also stages a discussion on contemporary morality with guest speaker AC Grayling.
