Financial specialist UBS has become the founding partner of London Business School’s Management Innovation Lab - MLab. Jointly instigated by LBS professor Julian Birkinshaw and visiting professor Gary Hamel, MLab’s aim is to promote management innovation and accelerate the speed of change in management.

The UBS partnership will enable the financial service firm to work with LBS faculty to generate management innovations relevant to the bank. UBS is expected to be the first of a number of sponsors.

Jeremy Palmer, chief executive of UBS for Europe, Middle East and Asia, said that innovation and entrepreneurial leadership were stated values of the bank. “We are looking forward to working with the MLab to find new and innovative ways of managing our business for the benefit of our clients, staff and shareholders.”
