South Korea calls presidential election for May 9

South Korea will hold a snap presidential election on May 9 to replace disgraced former leader Park Geun-hye, the state-run news agency Yonhap reported.

Ms Park was formally impeached on Friday for alleged corruption and influence-peddling.
