From Dr Emily Brearley.

Sir, What nonsense that questions remain over Thomas Piketty’s work. And at a stretch no more so than any other quantitative work of economics.

The reason for all the fuss over Piketty’s doubts is because he expresses what we all intuitively know and has the gall to do so from the ivory towers of academia rather than a tent in the park while smoking pot. What shivers he has sent up the spines of the ruling and avaricious elite. The only big question that remains is how to set up this wonderful idea of a global wealth tax.
