Quantitative finance expert Stewart Hodges is joining Cass Business School, in the UK, as professor of mathematical finance.
Cass benefits from its close proximity to the City of London and the financial district.
Prof Hodges’s areas of interest include valuation, portfolio construction, hedging and risk measurement. His ambition is to establish a research centre at Cass which will bring together both practitioners and academics in the field.
“Professor Hodges has excellent connections with the banking and hedge fund industries and we are planning to capitalise on these to help us build a mathematical finance research centre,” says Steven Haberman, deputy dean at Cass.
Prof Hodges joins the school from Warwick Business School.
