The price of a trim at QB House, a no-frills Japanese barber, has been stuck at Y1,000 since the company was founded in 1996. But it will rise to Y1,080 in April. The FT's Ben McLannahan says that both the Bank of Japan and the country's small businesses are cautious about the effects of the first tax rise for 17 years.
