Russell Davies, the creative mind behind ads such as Honda’s “power of dreams”, has joined Ogilvy as head of planning. At the WPP-owned agency – whose clients range from Unilever to Louis Vuitton – Mr Davies will join Rory Sutherland, another of London’s feted admen.

Both pen magazine columns and are keen on web innovations. It is unclear if Mr Sutherland, also shares Mr Davies’ enthusiasm for egg, bacon, chips and beans, also the title of his blog and book about British cafés.
