Shares in the Big Three automakers came under pressure on Tuesday after the trio posted bigger-than-expected falls in their April sales figures.
- Ford shares: Down 4.47 per cent
- General Motors shares: Down 3.35 per cent.
- Fiat Chrysler shares traded in the US: Down 4.95 per cent
The monthly figures have broader economic implications, after US consumption growth weakened sharply in the first three months of this year.
