Michael Jackson: Xscape – review

Having scraped the barrel with the awful first posthumous Michael Jackson album Michael, Xscape’s starry producers (Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins) trick demos and outtakes of Jackson’s breathy, yowling vocals into plausible R&B and funk.

Too sketchy to qualify as proper songs but full of supple grooves, like superior filler from an album never made.
