Queen’s School of Business which is based in Kingston Ontario is to offer executive education at a new facility in the Dubai International Finance Centre. Queen’s Dubai will offer courses in strategy, leadership, finance, marketing, human resources and governance from October 2007. These will be held in the DIFC Education Centre and taught by Queen’s School of Business faculty.

Queen’s is only the third business school to set up a base in the DIFC. London Business School launched there in December 2006 and Cass Business School’s Executive MBA programme began in February this year.

Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, Governor of the DIFC commented: ‘We are now able to offer professionals across the region the necessary business education which will not only assist in their own personal development, but which will also benefit their companies, sectors and the entire economy throughout the region.’

The DIFC is the regional financial markets hub and the Queen’s Dubai programmes will be held in The Gate, which is known as the centre’s architectural signature building.
