Shares in Moss Bross have surged in early trading after the formal clothes hire company posted upbeat results for 2015.

The top-hat-and-tails company said that like-for-like hire sales rose by 11.7 per cent on the year, reflecting a pick-up in wedding hire, compared to a decline of 3.6 per cent in the previous year. Pre-tax profits rose to £5.9m, from £4.7m.

At pixel time, its shares are up 6.2 per cent to 100.9p, and is sitting at the top of the gainers list in FTSE All Shares.
