Driving as a leisure pursuit

Sir, Bill Ford (Lunch with the FT, Life & Arts, May 14) concedes that driverless cars are far safer than human drivers, yet clings to his steering wheel and pedals. We need to get drivers out of cars as soon as possible. Those that want to drive should rent time at the local track.
