London Business School’s Dubai-London EMBA programme begins on Wednesday - the first time LBS has set up its own programme outside the UK.

The programme will be taught at the Dubai International Finance Centre by LBS faculty. The school intends to expand its footprint in the region with further degree programmes and executive education.

The inaugural programme has 78 participants, selected from 450 applications. Thrity nationalities are represented, with more than 70 per cent of the participants based in the United Arab Emirates.

The school already runs a dual EMBA with Columbia Business School in New York and an MBA partnership with Hong Kong University.

“The addition of the Dubai-London EMBA to our portfolio is a signal to high-calibre individuals and organisations everywhere that an executive MBA from London Business School, whether it is taught in London, New York or Dubai is the platform for success in today’s complex, global and interdependent world,” says Lyn Hoffman, associate dean for executive MBA programmes at the school.
