Iese Business School professor Pankaj Ghemawat has been recognised by the Academy of Management for his teaching at the academy’s annual get-together.

Prof Ghemawat, a specialist in international business and strategy, received the Irwin Outstanding Educator Award at the event in Anaheim in the US. The teaching committee of the Business Policy and Strategy division of the academy said they chose Ghemawat because of his “exemplary record as an educator and extensive contributor to the teaching effectiveness of others through myriad teaching materials.”

Indian-born Prof Ghemawat joined Iese in Barcelona in 2006 from Harvard, where he was the youngest ever full professor. His book, Redefining Global Strategy, was published by Harvard Business School Press in September 2007.
