The relaxed single-take jams from this equal-partners band strip keyboard-trio jazz down to its bare essentials with hooky themes and uncluttered beats. Most tunes are outline sketches draughted by keyboardist and John Zorn collaborator Jamie Saft, but even collaborative pieces are as lean and catchy as downtown pop.

The title track is a full-bloodied Saft piano rumination over Previte’s rolling drums, there are lashings of Steve Swallow’s soaring upper-register bass guitar; and three Saft organ features take in gospel, lounge-trio blues and rampant psychedelia.
