Philip Molyneux is professor of banking and finance and head of Bangor Business School in Wales, UK. His main area of research is the structure, efficiency and performance of banking markets and developments in global wealth management.

Previously, Prof Molyneux was a consultant to the New York Federal Reserve Bank, World Bank, European Commission and UK Treasury, as well as other international banks and consulting firms.

In 2002, he was appointed expert adviser to the European Parliament economic and monetary affairs committee on financial services legislation.
