Good to see that nothing can deter Brits from the pub.

Watering hole operator Enterprise Inns says sales rose by nearly 2 per cent in the 44 weeks to the end of July despite (or because?) of the UK’s vote to leave the EU.

CEO Simon Townsend said in a trading update:

The consequences of Brexit may be far-reaching but to date we have seen no discernible impact on consumer spending and no consequential impact on our trading performance. Whilst mindful of the potential for some economic uncertainty in the months ahead, we are confident in our strategy.
