Juncker sees need to ‘explain EU’ to Trump

Donald Trump needs to explain his administration’s position on the EU, according to European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker.
“I do not feel threatened [by Mr Trump],” said Mr Juncker before a summit on the future of the bloc in Valletta in Malta on Friday.
But the former Luxembourg premier added that Mr Trump’s needed a better understanding of European politics. “I do think there is room for explanations,” said Mr Juncker. “I sometimes have the impression that new administration does not know the EU in detail. And in Europe detail matters.”
