A federal appeals court will hand down its decision on Thursday on whether to lift an order halting implementation of US President Donald Trump’s controversial travel ban.

A three-judge panel on the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments earlier this week in the case. Its ruling will come by the close of business today, the court said in a statement.
