Mamani Keïta, once a backing singer for Salif Keita, teams up with Rail Band guitarist Djeli Moussa Kouyaté for this set, more earthy and organic than her previous solo albums: voice and guitar wrap around and tease each other.

The third voice in the conversation is Moriba Koïta’s ngoni, a chuckling Caliban to Kouyaté’s liquid Ariel: the spiky vamp into ‘Demissenou’ shows his work at its most provocative.
