Jazz-rock fusion lies at the heart of Led Bib’s mix of pounding drums, hooky riffs and distorted keyboards. The Mercury-nominated UK band have been on the road for ten years – they formed for drummer-leader’s Mark Holub’s university project – and now strip rhythm down to an essential bish-bash core.

Two saxes deliver raw energy and grit, the moodswings and slowdowns are tightly rehearsed and tunes are catchy and short – “Imperial Green” is anthemic, “Recycling Saga” starts gently and “Plastic Lighthouse” deconstructs indie-pop.
