Poliça’s debut album prompted Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon to dub them “the best band I’ve ever heard”. He pops up on the Minneapolis band’s follow-up, which takes its name from the 1970s radical feminist Shulamith Firestone.

But there’s nothing radical about the music – moody electro balladry with languid Cat Power-style vocals from Channy Leaneagh whose less than insurrectionary brand of feminism is to bemoan “boys” and “all the work they require”.
